Dispenza's opening is in sight! Rachel has been working non stop getting the store cleaned, painted and decorated. Rich Tilyou from T-meadow Farm has been showing off his carpentry skills and helping to trim out the store with recycled barn wood from our farm. I have been rebuilding the area that was burned by the fire and finishing the plumbing.
We still have many hurdles that we will overcome. So many of our friends and customers have helped us in the past and we will be reaching out again when we launch our "Go Fund Me" Campaign, seen below, to help us after we open to move forward with improvements and new exciting projects.
Rachel and I have to thank Victor Parra Gonzalez, Chef/Owner of Jaguar at the Bistro in Youngstown for having me work as a waiter for the first time at his great restaurant and Rachel has been working for Carmelo Raimondi of Carmelos Lewiston as she has been working for him as a Hostess/ Bartender. They are both examples of local businesses helping out others in a time of need.

Dispenzas Meat Market was built on the foundation of providing customers with the best quality natural local meats and products. As our business grew and we were very stable with beef and pork, we began to focus on poultry that we could provide to our customers but only under our strict standards.
We have been able to provide local poultry products that are all natural but we want to take it to a new level. We will be raising our own poultry, (chicken, turkey, duck and pheasant) and processing it ourselves. This is the best way for us to honestly assure our customers get the highest quality poultry raised and processed humanely the way it should be.
Sadly we had a fire early in 2015 which took its toll on our finances and our ability to move forward with building the proper facility to process poultry as well as start our poultry farm. As a family business this is our only source of income. We are fortunate to have a large family with six children. We have made it through what seemed to be impossible hurdles and have continued to work hard towards a goal we know can be achieved. We do not let the negative and dishonest experiences we have encountered through our business and the fire sway us from doing what is right.
As we have learned in the past we have the best customer base which we consider a huge friendship. We can only move forward with this new venture with the help and support of those who believe in us and believe in eating the best foods which our bodies are intended to eat. Our commitment to the most humane handling of our animals will never be taken lightly as we love all of our animals whether they are part of our farm family or intended to be raised for food.
Recent poultry diseases on commercial farms have driven the prices up for food that still is not what it should be. With our ability to raise our animals to our standards the result will be honest and simple. If you buy 100% natural chicken that's exactly what you will get. We are so grateful for what we have and for the ability to grow our business while providing great meats to so many.

We run Dispenza's the old-school way, with just four employees and a deep sense of pride. All of the slaughtering, cutting, trimming, and wrapping are done on-site, and we can butcher and hang up to eight beef a day.
